Hello everyone,

We are beginning to see some monsoon activity, with some areas receiving rain, a lightning show and some wind. After a storm we will work on blowing out any debris that may have accumulated from Mother Nature's display during the next service visit. The crew foreman will also drive around and report any tree damage and ensure there is nothing blocking sidewalks or posing a safety concern.

During monsoon season please follow the protocol at the bottom of this email in bold letters if an emergency situation presents itself. A fallen tree can sometimes create an irrigation leak/break as well if the tree is uprooted in a high wind. We have emergency staff on call 24/7/365!

4th of July maintenance schedule modification:

We will be closed on Friday 7/5 in observance of the 4th of July holiday.  Our schedule for maintenance service will be modified but if your day is different next week we will let you know when to expect our crew.

Make it a great week, and stay cool! Feel free to reply if you have any questions about this week's report.

Trim Cycle Rotations:

- Weed control remains a top priority, and our crew will continue to spray with their 5 gallon backpack and report if more help is needed from our spray tech division
- This time of year we start to see some difficult weed varieties that our normal herbicide applications have a hard time eradicating and may have to use some other herbicides. One example is thistle (which eventually turns into a tumbleweed). It is particularly ornery and tough.
- Routine shrub pruning continues in our trim cycle work as well as a detailed blowout of the same area and that is marked on your attached weekly report for your reference. Flower plants will be lightly trimmed for now so they don't become way overgrown and we try to preserve the spring blooms.
- You may see certain shrubs pruned and others not in the same cycle, as we try to let them bloom as much as possible with reason

Water Management:
-  It is HOT so we are on a more frequent watering schedule as the daytime temperatures continue to increase and the days get longer.
- Grass area watering is at least 5 times per week right now with multiple start times in most cases. We try to keep turf watering outside of daylight hours as best we can to mitigate evaporation and there's also less wind during the night than daytime.
- If you notice evidence of heavy runoff or excessive watering, please inform us, as it may be a few days before our maintenance crew returns to the site.

Weed Control Work Order Notice : The maintenance crew submitted an internal work order for supplemental post-emergent weed control applications that are in excess of the legal amount the crew can carry on their trailers without a certified applicator. We do include a fixed volume of post-emergent herbicide in your weekly maintenance agreement and that was applied during our service this week, but the amount needed to treat the volume of weeds present is in excess of that amount and will need a higher-volume application by our certified technician. Per our maintenance agreement we will dispatch our technician, who will treat the affected areas and it will be a supplemental times and materials (T&M) charge as it has been in recent years. This treatment is expected to take place in approximately the next 3-5 business days. If your community chooses not to apply this treatment and incur the time and materials charge, please advise us in writing immediately. Be advised that we do find this treatment necessary for the desired aesthetics and weed control in your community.
